Mastodon is like Twitter but isn't a dumpster fire of humanity. Why? Because we control what content goes there and what gets moderated or taken down. Learn about Mastodon here. Some details:
- This is my own private hosted instance. It is federated with the fedverse, but we control what lives locally.
- I don't/can't control what's coming in on the fedverse. You can control who you follow though as well as set filters, blocks, etc.
- This is a lot like Twitter, but we moderate what we don't like. Don't do stupid or illegal things. No hate speech, harassment, fascists, intimidation of others, etc.
- Service includes unlimited posts and content, but don't be crazy. Follow reasonableness.
We charge $1/user/month which goes to supporting the service (because we have no ads or trackers!). Bring your friends and we'll all have a better place to hang out.
